KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
A much overdue trip to the Kruger National Park – 11 to 19 September 2017

From Pretoriuskop to Letaba and back we were blessed with the most amazing sightings – the Big 5, wild dog and cheetah.
The park, being incredibly dry, made the waterholes the main points of interest.
Highlights of the trip – largest herd of buffalo I have ever seen; spotting the same 6 cheetahs two days in a row (twice in one day – on the hunt in the morning and lazing after their meal in the afternoon); Leopard on three occasions and two lion kills.
Most interesting sighting – adult hippo and youngster play-fighting and chasing each other in and out of the water, playing hide and seek behind bushes. This I have never witnessed before – the British couple with whom we shared the sighting were just as intrigued.
Time to start planning the next trip…
